Beyond Borders
Mar 3 Storytelling Workshop

We all have stories to tell. That’s the Third Goal of Peace Corps, to share with people back home the experiences from our service overseas.  Beyond Borders Storytelling is hosting a storytelling workshop to help people turn those experiences into engaging stories.  The workshop is open to anyone who has a story with an international twist,  not just Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.

This workshop is perfect for those wanting to go that next step and perform before a live audience at the Story Jam in April.
Workshop is FREE to all. Pizza will be provided.  Details and RSVP Info Here>>

Professor Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg

Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of San Francisco; Founder and Executive Director, Akili Dada

As the world discovers the value of investing in adolescent girls, how can we ensure that interventions achieve maximum impact? Drawing from its award-winning model, Dr. Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, Akili Dada's founder and director, will share lessons on making sustainable and scalable investments in the lives of vulnerable girls in Africa. Akili Dada is a leadership incubator that is empowering the next generation of African women leaders by investing in high-achieving girls from underprivileged Kenyan families. Dr. Kamau-Rutenberg has led Akili Dada to be recognized by the United Nations as one of the world's most innovative civil society organizations.
