Beyond Borders
Mar 3 Storytelling Workshop

We all have stories to tell. That’s the Third Goal of Peace Corps, to share with people back home the experiences from our service overseas.  Beyond Borders Storytelling is hosting a storytelling workshop to help people turn those experiences into engaging stories.  The workshop is open to anyone who has a story with an international twist,  not just Returned Peace Corps Volunteers.

This workshop is perfect for those wanting to go that next step and perform before a live audience at the Story Jam in April.
Workshop is FREE to all. Pizza will be provided.  Details and RSVP Info Here>>

Volunteer with Aldea

8/23/14 Sat (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM)
Aldea Treatment Foster Care & Adoptions
470 Chadbourne Road, Suite F, Fairfield, CA
Contact: (crkirkbride@gmail.com)

Aldea Children & Family Services will provide emergency foster placement, treatment foster care, and adoption services for more than 550 children this year in Napa and Solano County. This will be our fourth event volunteering with Aldea.

Join Corrine Kirkbride, North Bay Director, in helping supervise the children of Aldea foster parents during a foster parent training. Aldea foster care staff will be with volunteers the entire time. In volunteering from 8:30am-12:30pm we will help set-up and then volunteer during the morning shift supervising the children.

All volunteers are required to fill out a confidentiality form, release form and volunteer application. Water and snacks will be provided.

When our shift is over at 12:30pm we will head to lunch nearby, possibly at La Barista or Favela's Fusion.

Because 4-5 volunteers are needed for the morning shift, please contact Corrine Kirkbride if you can help so we know how many people we have. Fairfield is only 30 minutes from Davis, Berkeley, Sonoma, and Concord/Walnut Creek. Thanks!
