NorCal is a nonprofit, volunteer organization affiliated with the National Peace Corps Association. It encompasses the geographical territory of Northern California focused on the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey Bay as well as the north coast and some inland areas, excepting the Sacramento Valley where there is a separate RPCV group. NorCal supports a network of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs), former staff, their families and friends continuing the Peace Corps experience and ideals through local, national, and international activities.

Provide a forum with the community that allows for the exchange of information, ideas, and perspectives on developing countries, international issues, and U.S. foreign policies.
Enjoy the company of fellow RPCVs, family and friends and learn from each others' experiences.
Build and strengthen communication and networking within the Northern California RPCV community and with other organizations.
Assist PCVs in the field, newly returned, and transitioning PCVs, and prospective volunteers.
Extend Peace Corps idealism and the spirit of volunteerism into local community activities.
Support domestic and international projects.
Participate in National Peace Corps Association in order to contribute to its policies and direction.
Support the goals of the Peace Corps and contribute to its policy making process.
