Annual Summer BBQ

NorCalPCA’s Annual Summer BBQ is Back!! This year's annual summer BBQ will be on the warm shores of Crown Beach in Alameda!  Bring your family and friends and come celebrate the summer with us!

Who

The event is open to everyone! Members, non-members, RPCVs, non-RPCVs, family, friends, and anyone that supports what we do is invited! 

This is a family-friendly event.  Bring your kids!  There will be games and activities for children and adults alike.

Tickets

Please get a ticket now for each person who is coming so we know how many people are coming!  There are free potluck tickets (if you want to bring food) and $10 food tickets (if you want to buy food).  Food tickets at the event will be $15, so please buy your tickets now! (No need to print your ticket(s), just check in at the registration table when you arrive.)

Food:  Potluck or Purchase

There are two options for food:

Potluck:  For those that wish to bring food for the potluck, please choose the free potluck tickets (so we know how many people are coming) and contact Glenn Anaiscourt (picnic@norcalpca.org) to arrange what to bring so we make sure there is a diversity of options.  Definitely bring items to BBQ, we will be providing the charcoal.

Purchase:  For those that would prefer we provide food for them, we will be offering veggie burgers, hamburgers, chips, vegetables, non-alcoholic drinks, and cookies.  To help us cover food costs early bird food tickets are $10 if you purchase them now, and tickets at the event will cost $15.  If you wish to purchase food, please select the food option you prefer now so we know how much food to bring.

Drinks:  Please bring drinks!  We will have coolers and ice for you to use.  We will also have a small selection of water and non-alcoholic drinks available.

Volunteers needed!

We'd love your help with registration, set up, cleanup, games, activities, food, a silent auction, fundraising (maybe a raffle?), and other tasks. To volunteer, please email Glenn Anaiscourt (picnic@norcalpca.org).

Logo Competition

We'll be voting on NorCalPCA's new logo at the BBQ! Enter your own design to the competition!

Calendars for sale!

2017 International Calendars will be sold at the picnic for $12 each to benefit the NorCalPCA's Grants Program.

Parking

Crown Beach has a small parking lot at the Crab Cove visitor center right next to the picnic site. It's $5. There's also nearby street parking that is free.



Mass Transit 

There are AC Transit Buses buses to Alameda leaving Oakland 12th Street BART every 10-12min.  Bus Schedules from 12th St BART, Oakland
