CANCELLED Point Reyes Trail

10/12/13 Sat (9:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Point Reyes
, Olema
Contact:Doug Haner and Bonnie Tank (doug@yosemitecreek.com)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN

We've waited as long as we could, hoping the government would reopen by Sat. but it would be a REAL long shot. So, regretfully, we are cancelling the Saturday Trail Day in Point Reyes. The park gates are all locked and Federal police are blocking all roads and trailheads so we can't even offer a hike in this beautiful place.

So please hang on until the end of April and join our Spring trail work then.

Join NorCal and the National Parks Service in one of NorCal’s longest running traditions of service. This biannual event (April and October of every year) is one of our most popular service events where you can enjoy the company of RPCVs of all ages fixing trails at one of America’s most scenic seashores and enjoy a BBQ at day’s end.

Meet at Red Barn on left as you turn off Bear Valley road towards visitor center. Near Sir Francis Drake Blvd/Hwy 1 in Olema. Gloves, work shirts and tools provided. You bring water and lunch/snack for the work part. We will provide organic grass-fed local burgers and all the trimmings for you at the barbeque that follows. Please bring drinks for yourself and something to share at the picnic.

RSVP to Doug for a burger count.

We generally have lots of people from around the Bay Area that Trek up there so if you're willing to share car space or need car space let Will Spargur (cspargur87@gmail.com) know.
