Not all Peace Corps assignments fit the stereotypical image of a Peace Corps Volunteer. Come hear what's is like to serve in today's Peace Corps in China from recently returned volunteer, Andrew Schafer (China 2011-2013).

Some of Andrew’s students spent their winter break working in Foxconn factories producing IPhone 4s’s for the 2011 Christmas season in America. He became close friends with a dedicated athlete who swims everyday—summer or winter—in the dangerously polluted rivers running through the city where he was station.

Andrew will tell a story about how China’s history continues into the present, and the impact this has on people he came to know.

Space is limited RSVPs Required.
