Our goal is to raise $2,000 to be used directly for refugee support efforts in the weeks and months ahead. Currently, we are matched with an Afghan family of 8 in the East Bay who arrived in the Bay Area a few months ago. The family of 8 includes mother, father and 6 children ages 13 to 3. NorCalPCA volunteers are visiting multiple times per week to provide ESL support and transportation. The family's priorities are 1) to find employment for the father, who left a high-level professional role in Afghanistan, and 2) to acquire an automobile.
If 100 people donate $20, we will meet our goal. Please help spread the word about this opportunity to see a beautiful film and to get involved.
