At this year's Annual General Meeting (AGM), one of the largest and most engaging in years, more than 200 people packed the South Berkeley Senior Center for the West Africa-themed evening. West African fabric, artwork and carvings adorned every table and wall. West African beats pulsed over the sound system. And our amazing kitchen volunteers cooked up a storm preparing Ghanaian groundnut stew, Senegalese mafe veggie stew, plantains and rice, ensuring no one left hungry.

Our very special guests – Tom Livingston, Marion Morrison and Edward Mycue provided an engaging presentation on the experiences of the first group of Peace Corps Volunteers who began their assignments in 1961 in Ghana.
